Case 13

HISTORY:

A twenty four year old female presented with swelling in the neck and difficulty in breathing of two months duration and paralysis of both lower limbs of two days duration. There was no peripheral lymphadenopathy. Local examination showed an enlarged right lobe of the thyroid measuring 6x5cm. Xray of vertebra showed no bony lesion but an extradural mass at D11 (not biopsied). BMA showed involvement. Total thyroidectomy was done. Section from the thyroid.
